The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. As a Luxen, an alien life form on Earth, human girls are…well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane.
Dangerous. Tempting. Undeniable.
Bethany can’t deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren’t a complication she wants, she can’t stay away from him. Still, whenever they lock eyes, she’s drawn in.
Captivated. Lured. Loved.
Dawson is keeping a secret that will change her existence…and put her life in jeopardy. But even he can’t stop risking everything for one human girl. Or from a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself.
What can I say about this book? It was FILLED with Aw-Moments. I loved every single page. It’s a very nice view of Dawson and Bethany and their love. They are what I picture as true love and it was strong, intense, romantic, and simply beautiful. I loved reading about them. It also gave you a good sense of why Daemon is the way he is in the other books. It all makes sense and clicks even better after reading this one. I loved it. Dawson is.. too wonderful for words. The things he would do for Bethany.. I just.. I smiled throughout the story! They were just.. the ideal image of what two people in love look like. He would die for her and as would she.
This review is probably just gawking over Dawson and Bethany, but that’s what it’s about. This short story shows you how they meet, what happened, and it’s their love story. If you love Daemon the way I do, you will love Dawson just as much; maybe even more! But that’s hard.. Dawson is the nice one, Daemon is the bad-ass!
Overall, I would say this is definitely worth reading if your a fan of the series. It stops about a year before the series picks up, which is nice as well. It all blends well, it gives you great insist of basically everything and it’s just a quick and sweet love story!
